Vivekananda Rural Development Society (VRDS)
Our society works for the welfare of women and children to make them aware, independent, and self sufficient with respect to their socioeconomic status, duties, and rights.
Vivekananda Rural Development Society (VRDS) is a non-political, non-profit-making, secular civil society organization established in 1997 in Konda Mallepally, Devarakonda Mandal, Nalgonda District of Telangana. We work largely with local communities on initiatives linked to education, health, human rights, and skill development training. VRDS is founded by committed, selfless, and dedicated workers, hailing from similar socio-economic profiles as the stakeholders themselves. These founders have an innate flair for rendering benevolent services, to those who richly deserve them. The steering committee, consists of seven members with administrative acumen and executive expertise. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. The society will work for the development of women and children. 2. Guidance services for children, including child guidance clinics, family life institutions, and legal aid to the poor and needy. 3. To take up welfare services for the benefit of poor patients in hospitals and supply of medicines, books, and journals and refer all services, etc. 4. Rural health programs mobile health centers, para-medical teams, and health camps. 5. To organize awareness training programs for Dalit rehabilitation, Panchayat Raj Programs end to atrocities on women, abolition of child labor, emancipation from bonded labor, etc. We work in the state of Telangana, in south India. The districts under the area of operation are: 1) Nalgonda 2) Suryapet; 3) Yadadri; 4) Ranga Reddy 5) Mahaboob Nagar 6) Suburbs and slum areas of Hyderabad.
